The module provides mechanical engineers with an in-depth understanding of the role of robotics in smart manufacturing environments, focusing on the integration of Industry 4.0 principles such as artificial intelligence (AI), real-time data analytics, and advanced automation.

The course will cover the design, kinematics, control, and optimization of robotic systems and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) within smart factories, emphasizing their role in enhancing flexibility, adaptability, and efficiency in production. Finally, there will be an in-depth look at production planning topics.
