Dr. George Hamilothoris is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of West Attica, with the subject ‘Advanced Automatic Control Systems’. He received the Diploma of Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1983, the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in 1984, and the Doctorate (Doctorat) in 1987 in the field of Automation from the University of Toulouse III.
He worked at the Hellenic Weapons Industry S.A. and then at a large Greek business and IT consultancy company. He has published articles in international scientific journals and conferences, and registered patents. As a qualified expert, he has participated in numerous evaluations of proposals and projects in the field of modern digital technologies and their applications, on behalf of national and European funding agencies..
He has over twenty years of involvement in the management and execution of research and technological development projects in the field of mechatronics and advanced methods and applications of Automatic Control by digital means. Indicative:
